In the twelve odd years that we have been riding it has always been on our own steam. No helmets, out in the sticks, bashing through the bush. This was something entirely new for us. Way more social and very enjoyable.
Had breakfast and exchanged some mobile numbers and contacts with new acquaintances. Nice meeting you Jo and Margret Horn - hope we get together again soon.
On our trip back we decided to follow the Garmin and lo and behold we have not learned from living on the farm. When we were on the farm we used to tell the people visiting not to follow the Garmin but to follow our directions as the Garmin would let you turn down every dirt road as you approached the farm except the correct one.

Guess what? We followed instruction from the Garmin and had a 50km dirt road to contend with, but never fear when we are near. It was actually not that bad and saw more game than in the "Maria Moroka Nature Reserve". We also shaved a good 70 km and more than an hour off our trip.
All in all a very good weekend get away.
Hats off the Glen from "Family Adventures" and his team for an excellent ride. Very well organized - everything they said it would be. We will definitely join them on another ride.
Enjoy our pics.
